Certifications
At DLORE', we collaborate with rural communities, and many of our materials are hand-sourced, hand-spun, and hand-woven. As a result, we cannot provide certifications for all products at this time.
However, some materials are already certified by our suppliers, and we are actively working to certify the others to ensure maximum transparency for our customers.
Our commitment is to uphold the highest standards of sustainability and traceability in every product we offer. Pls find here below the certifications that our suppliers have given us.
-
EPFC (Ecological Plant Fiber Certification) is a certification that verifies the sustainability and environmental impact of plant-based fibers.
It ensures that fibers used in products, such as soya, hemp, roses, nettle, flax, etc. are grown and processed using environmentally friendly practices.
The certification focuses on reducing the use of harmful chemicals, promoting soil health, and conserving water throughout the production process.
EPFC also ensures fair labor practices and supports the use of renewable resources.
By awarding this certification, EPFC helps consumers identify products made from eco-friendly plant fibers, contributing to a more sustainable and ethical textile industry.
-
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification is an internationally recognized standard for organic fibers.
It ensures that textiles are made from at least 70% organic fibers and meet strict environmental and social criteria throughout the supply chain.
GOTS-certified products must adhere to stringent standards regarding the use of toxic chemicals, waste management, and working conditions.
This certification also guarantees that the entire production process, from farming to manufacturing, follows ethical practices, promoting sustainability, fair labor conditions, and environmental responsibility.
GOTS provides consumers with a reliable guarantee that the product is both organic and ethically produced.
-
The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is an international certification that verifies the content of recycled materials in a product, ensuring that it meets specific environmental and social criteria.
GRS-certified products must contain at least 20% recycled content, and the certification covers the entire supply chain, from sourcing to manufacturing. It ensures responsible processing, the reduction of harmful chemicals, and traceability of recycled materials.
The standard also emphasizes ethical labor practices and environmental sustainability.
GRS provides consumers with confidence that the product is made with recycled materials and produced under socially and environmentally responsible conditions.
-
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is an independent certification that ensures textiles are free from harmful substances.
It tests fabrics and finished products for over 100 harmful chemicals, including pesticides, heavy metals, and other toxins, ensuring they are safe for human health.
The certification applies to all stages of production, from raw materials to final product, and guarantees that the product is safe to wear and use.
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 also promotes sustainable practices by encouraging eco-friendly production processes.
It offers consumers peace of mind that the product meets high safety and environmental standards.
-
SEDEX (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) is a global platform that helps businesses manage and improve their ethical supply chain practices.
It provides a standardized way for companies to share information about their labor, health and safety, environment, and business ethics practices.
SEDEX members undergo audits to ensure compliance with ethical standards, such as fair wages, safe working conditions, and sustainable environmental practices.
By joining SEDEX, companies can demonstrate their commitment to responsible sourcing and transparency, while also enabling customers to make informed decisions based on ethical business practices throughout the supply chain.
